Fresh Tracks Breakfast
Who are those weirdos lining up at the base of the mountain as early as 6:45am, and more importantly, what do they know that we don’t? Ask any local and they’ll give you the answer: on big powder days, it’s all about filling up your stomach with a hearty buffet breakfast at the Roundhouse Lodge and then hitting the mountain first to claim all the untouched powder. Locals know that the only way to go is with a Fresh Tracks ticket.
The Fresh Tracks Breakfast, presented by Nature’s Path, features an awesome Breakfast Buffet, fresh corduroy or pristine powder with first-up privileges on the Whistler Village Gondola to the Roundhouse Lodge. Fresh Tracks runs December through April with upload at 7:15 a.m. Tickets are available at any Guest Relations desk. It’s best to watch the forecast and buy your ticket the day before; capacity is 600 and tickets do sell out. You’ve been warned.

Sustainability
Whistler Blackcomb is a company comprised of mountain-lovers who experience nature in the very place we live, play and work. As such, we have a personal relationship with our environment. It is this relationship that has made us who we are and our commitment to sustainability extends through every aspect of our company, including food and beverage.
Local Food
In the continued quest for quality, Whistler Blackcomb’s Food and Beverage teams are committed to sourcing the finest in local and regional ingredients, while delivering healthy options and exciting new flavours to our valued guests. From locally grown Pemberton potatoes to fantastic BC wines straight from the Okanagan Valley, Whistler Blackcomb’s restaurants use local ingredients as much as possible.
Ocean Wise Seafood Program
Ocean Wise is a Vancouver Aquarium conservation program created to educate and empower consumers about the issues surrounding sustainable seafood. Sustainable seafood can be defined as species that are caught or farmed in a way that ensures the long-term health and stability of that species, as well as the greater marine ecosystem.
Whistler Blackcomb is a proud participant in the Ocean Wise Seafood Program. All fish and seafood served at any of our 17 food and beverage locations comes from a sustainable source.
Waste Reduction
Through responsible purchasing, innovative waste solutions and an aggressive composting and recycling program that has reduced the company’s overall garbage by 46.5 per cent from 2008, Whistler Blackcomb strives for zero waste one day at all mountain food and beverage locations.
As a dedicated culinary professional with over 20 years experience, which includes running the Athlete’s Village food and beverage service at three Olympic Games, Corporate Chef Michael Crane joined the Whistler Blackcomb team in December 2009. He is committed to elevating the quality of the Food & Beverage experience for mountain guests, while developing healthier meal options and incorporating an international flavour profile.
In a resort that boasts world-class dining facilities, guest experience is of paramount importance at Whistler Blackcomb.
“It begins with the ingredients and the recipe,” says Crane “but it’s also about presentation and passionate, educated staff to deliver the overall experience again and again.”
