Amber Turnau
Senior Media Relations Officer
Responsible for destination and travel media inquiries.
Amber grew up on a sailboat in the tropics and moved to Canada when she was 8. As an adult, she has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Australia, Central America, and Thailand, but is proud to call beautiful British Columbia her home. Her passion for snowboarding brought her to Whistler, where she's found life's perfect balance: snowboarding during the winter months and riding her bike and hiking in the Alpine during the amazing summer.
Amber joined the Whistler Blackcomb PR team in April 2007 to work with destination and travel media. She draws from her journalism background, having graduated from the Langara College Journalism Program in Vancouver, Canada, and freelanced for various publications. Amber has had a great time working with an amazing team thus far and is looking forward to the exciting opportunities ahead.

Ryan has worked for Whistler Blackcomb for nearly six years, joining the PR team two years ago from the operational side of Whistler Blackcomb as a Food and Beverage Supervisor.
Ryan's vast knowledge of the mountains and what they have to offer, besides more than 8,000 incredible, skiable acres, as well as his understanding of the ski and snowboard industry, has made him a key contact in Whistler Blackcomb's Public Relations department.

Tabetha Boot
Public Relations and Communications Specialist
Responsible for Canadian and Washington State media enquiries, Olympic related media inquires, operations and snow communications.
Tabetha grew up in Oakville Ontario and, like most other Ontario transplants, it didn't take her long to develop the "quest for the west."
Moving to Whistler in the fall of 2004, Tabetha hasn't looked back. After one season as a supervisor in a retail rental store at Whistler Blackcomb, Tabetha moved into the public relations department. Currently Tabetha oversees National media relations, snow and operations communication and Olympic media relation strategy development. Tabetha completed her MBA, Public Relations and Communications Management at Royal Roads in May, 2009. Her thesis involved creating the foundation for Whistler Blackcomb's communications plan for February 2010. To say she's excited for the season ahead would be an understatement.
In the summer, Tabetha can be found hiking in the Whistler alpine, the High Note Trail is her favourite, or on the golf course – fore!

Christina Moore
Public Relations & Communications Manager
Christina is the Whistler veteran of the PR team and is about to spend her 12th winter working in the resort. Hailing from the UK originally, and growing up in Ontario's Niagara region, Christina's PR background is varied and spans the gamut from agency to hotel to event work, including 5 years with Whistler's own TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival.
Christina loves her job. She targeted the Whistler Blackcomb PR Manager role as her dream job while taking a public relations post graduate certificate at Toronto's Humber College, and feels pretty fortunate to have been here over the past five years through some incredible moments in Whistler Blackcomb's history. Her most unglamorous PR moment was collating press kits for a wax strips client on the floor of Toronto's Four Seasons hotel lobby, but things have progressed upwards nicely since then. With the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola mega-project launch under her belt, and being on the cusp of the 2010 Winter Games, Christina is thrilled to be leading the world's best PR team at the world's greatest resort.
When not with her WB family, Christina is busy cultivating her other little ski-bum family, 2 year old Hannah and hubby Rob.

Greg Vallentin
Intern
Born and raised in Welland, Ont., a city home to a bowling alley, a Wendy’s and a few gas stations, Greg realized at a young age he was destined for bigger, and ultimately, snowier things. Though G.I. Joes, cartoons and pancakes occupied his early years, after a visit to Holiday Valley at the age of 10, where he learned how not to ski, Greg strapped on his first snowboard and never looked back.
As a self-proclaimed grammar nerd, gaining a diploma in journalism-print, followed by a post-graduate certificate in public relations, both from Niagara College Applied Arts and Technology, was a no brainer for him. After a brief stint working for a local paper, Greg moved his career, and belongings, to Toronto. Despite the suits and clean-shaven face, Greg’s inner ski bum raged on and while the Escarpment and Blue Mountain kept his thirst for all-things-boarding in check, it wasn’t until he visited Whistler for the first time that he realized where his career, and addiction, was headed next. With years of PR experience and an enthusiasm for the industry that, even after long hours at the office and near endless e-mails to address, doesn’t seem to quit, Greg has proven himself as an invaluable part of the Whistler Blackcomb team.
