What To Bring |
If you are offered a position with Whistler Blackcomb, you will be required to provide us with the following:
International Applicants are required to obtain National Criminal Record Checks before leaving their home country.
Canadian Applicants are encouraged to bring a Criminal Record Check obtained from the regional police department of their home province or from any RCMP office.
PLEASE NOTE: Your clearance must be dated within the last 18 months.
It is a condition of employment that your wages be direct deposited to a Canadian Bank account. Banks with branches located in Whistler are listed below. Photo ID and proof of a Whistler address will be required.
You must apply for your SIN in person. You cannot apply for it in Whislter. If you are an international applicant arriving in Canada via Vancouver, we suggest you apply there before coming to Whistler.
For any jobs that require on-road driving (i.e. buses, flat bed trucks, cube vans, etc.), Whistler Blackcomb will require a BC Driver's License and a BC Driver's abstract (N print version showing commercial as well as personal record). For more information, please contact us directly at 604.938.7557.
Since Mother Nature is unpredictable, winter positions may not start until mid November and some do not commence until mid December. We recommend that you come to Whistler with approximately $2,000 (CDN) to ensure that you will be able to pay rent, damage deposit, groceries, telephone, transportation and entertainment until you are gainfully employed.
Everyone arrives at once and accommodation can get tricky. We suggest booking short term accommodation before you arrive. Here are some of the local hostels:
